Leadership Clarke County

Leadership Clarke County is a county-wide program which brings together a diverse group of people. They do not share a common age or lifestyle or career. What they do share is a vision of Clarke County, Alabama as it could be through the caring involvement of its leaders.

The purpose of Leadership Clarke County is to enhance individual leadership abilities while educating participants about current conditions and potential needs of Clarke County.

It is the mission of Leadership Clarke County to identify, educate, and train a diverse group of potential leaders in this county.
 
Leadership Clarke County will develop these leaders through an effective network and interchange of ideas to gain a better under- standing of our economic, political, educational, and social conditions as they exist today. The program will show how we can improve the future by working together as a county.

Leadership Clarke County is an exciting and unique opportunity for those selected for the program. During the year, participants will attend six day-long seminars on specific high priority topics including:

Seminars are held on Thursdays.
 
Tuition Cost: $250.00 per member
 
Class Size: Limited to twenty-five (25) members per year.
 
Class Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (except state government)

Members selected for the program are required to attend orientation and encouraged to attend all six sessions. Missing more than one session is prohibited if one is to graduate.
 
Leadership Clarke County is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing potential leadership in Clarke County. It was formed by the Grove Hill and Jackson Chambers of Commerce. It is self-sustained through tuitions, scholarships, and corporate support and is governed by its own Board of Directions who are drawn from the county at large.
 
We envision Clarke County as a progressive region where all citizens enjoy economic growth and an enhanced quality of life.
